Powermate for macOS

Close-up of a person's finger pressing a button on a small, metallic, cylindrical device on a dark surface with a laptop and a monitor in the background.

…is back! The old Griffin app runs inconsistently on macOS El Capitan, that’s almost a decade ago! Plus their app wasn’t stellar, and always had odd issues like needing to be uninstalled before installing upgrades?!(🤨🤷)

AXIØMate is a one-click install from the Mac App Store®, runs every time your Mac® starts, stays up to date with new macOS versions, and lives quietly in the Menu Bar.

I used the old open-source hack solutions for years, and I love every hacker who worked on them ♥️ but I always found they lacked polish, or would stop working with macOS upgrades, or stop working randomly 😵‍💫

AXIØMate is a low-cost app and you can rely on it either working or being updated with every major OS upgrade; no tinkering with GitHubs required 🛠️

Griffin Powermate Bluetooth

My personal favourite 🥰 after installation, AXIØMate will prompt for Bluetooth® permissions and then use/configure Bluetooth PowerMate actions while AXIØMate is running in the Menu Bar and its accompanying DriverKit extension is enabled.

Even though I daily-drive the Bluetooth Powermate, I have a USB Powermate as well and am working on adding a DriverKit USB HID (Human Interface Device) Extension to support it in a future, free update.

Griffin Powermate USB Driver FUTURE UPDATE

A small metallic device with a cable attached, labeled 'GRIFFIN TECHNOLOGY'. It's a modern electronic or tech gadget with a cylindrical shape and a blue accent at the bottom.

This is an unofficial app and driver for the Powermate originally from Griffin Technology, Inc. made without permission, though they are defunct and the Powermate line of controller knobs discontinued so… 🤷
